Why We're Not a Marketplace - And Why That's the Point

Open any coaching app and you'll find the same interface: a list of public profiles, ratings, prices, a search bar. Scroll, compare, pick one, hope for the best. If it doesn't work out, your activity, your reviews, and your history stay visible for the next person browsing the same list.

That model works for picking a restaurant. It's the wrong model for choosing someone who'll have visibility into your schedule, your health, and your routine for months at a time - and it's not how you'd fill any other role that requires real trust. You wouldn't hire an assistant or an advisor off a public listing ranked by star rating. Coaching deserves the same standard.

Marketplaces also optimize for the wrong thing. More profiles, more filters, more public activity - because visibility drives their business, not your privacy. For someone who values discretion, being one more browsable listing, reviewed and rated in public, isn't a minor inconvenience. It's the opposite of what you're looking for.

There's a quieter cost too: public listings push coaches to compete on price, not fit. That tells you nothing about whether a given coach actually works well with someone who travels two weeks a month and can't commit to a fixed weekly slot.

We built PeakAnywhere the other way around. There's no listing, because there's nothing to browse. When you apply, we match you directly and privately with a coach chosen for your goals, your schedule, and the cities you actually live in - not the one who happened to have an open slot, or the cheapest option nearby. Nothing about the match is public, and nothing about the process needs to be.

This also means coaches in the network aren't competing for visibility or racing each other on price. They're matched with clients who fit their specialty and build a real, ongoing relationship instead of chasing one-off sessions - which is part of why we vet them carefully before they join, and why we limit how many clients we take on each month.

None of this makes the process slower. It makes it deliberate, and it keeps it private. You apply once, we handle the matching, and you start working with someone who already understands your situation - without ever having been a profile for anyone to browse.

That's the standard we hold ourselves to for anyone with visibility into your schedule. Applying takes a few minutes, and you'll hear back within 24 hours.
